How to read a poker room listing
Our catalog poker block, field by field — so you know what is verified data vs what you confirm at the desk.

Answer first
90s- 01Status tells walk-in reality: open, series-host, event-only, or no public room.
- 02Tables is a published poker-device count — not tonight’s active cash games.
- 03Games / cash stakes are editorial snapshots — boards change through the day.
- 04Hours and phone help you plan; live closings still need a desk or site check.
- 05Series notes flag big tournament inventory — not a promise of a soft cash game.
- 06Use the listing to shortlist, then verify buy-in and wait time on site.
Catalog fields
Fields on a casino poker block
status
Room status
open = walk-in public room; series-host = mainly large events; event-only = occasional hosts; no-public-room = devices may exist without a tourist room.
Tip: Filter for open first if you want cash tonight.
tables
Poker tables
Published count of poker tables/devices tied to inventory sources (often NGCB poker devices). Capacity signal, not live game count.
Tip: High count ≠ short wait at 10 p.m. on Saturday.
games
Games listed
Hold’em and other games the room advertises in our editorial pass. Mix can rotate.
Tip: Ask the desk for the board you want.
stakes
Cash stakes
Sample cash stake bands when published. Not a live board and not a guarantee every band is running.
Tip: Confirm the spread before you buy in.
hours
Hours
Room hours when known (including 24/7). Casino-wide hours can differ from the poker desk.
Tip: Call if you are arriving near close.
series
Series / events
Named tournament series the property hosts or is known for. Signals event traffic and inventory focus.
Tip: Series weeks change cash texture and waits.
phone
Poker phone
Direct desk number when the operator publishes one.
Tip: Best for “is 1/3 open?” style checks.
url
Official page
Operator poker URL for schedules and house pages we do not scrape into stakes.
Tip: Use for tournament sheets; still verify today.
Every poker block is sourced and dated in the catalog. Missing fields mean we would rather omit than invent.
Status decoder
| Status | Tourist read | Typical next step |
|---|---|---|
| open | Public room you can walk into | Desk list for cash / daily events |
| series-host | Built for big tournaments | Check if cash runs between flights |
| event-only | No standing public room | Only go for a listed host event |
| no-public-room | Not a walk-in poker stop | Pick another property |
NGCB may show poker devices while the operator still says no public room — status is the tourist truth.

What we never invent
01Live wait times
We do not scrape board waits. A full room at midnight will not show as a red banner here.
02Guaranteed soft games
Table count and series labels are not a skill or recreational rating of the players.
03Hidden online rooms
Listings are land-based Las Vegas inventory only — no app or online-casino poker.
04Stakes without a source
If cash stakes are blank, we did not guess from a forum. Call or walk the desk.

Need cash tonight
Prefer status open, note hours, then phone or walk in for the board.
Chasing a series
Read series + official URL; expect event lines and different cash traffic.
Comparing two resorts
Sort by tables for capacity, then compare status and stakes fields side by side.
Seeing event-only
Do not plan a casual cash night there — pick an open room instead.

Tip 01
Learn three fields
Status, tables, hours — enough to build a three-stop shortlist.
Tip 02
Ignore vanity
A famous series name does not mean the cash game you want is running at 4 p.m.
Tip 03
Verify once
One desk ask or official schedule check beats three stale screenshots.

After the 90 seconds
Questions before and after you play
A 90-second guide cannot cover every table moment. Tap a group, then a question — answers are short paragraphs, not one-liners.
01Status and tables
Why does a series-host show a high table count?
Tournament inventory can be large even when daily cash is limited. Series-host means the property is built to stage big events. Use it for event planning; for a casual cash night, prefer status open and confirm the board.
If tables say 40, will 40 games be running?
No. The number is published capacity / device count, not live spreads. Nightly demand, staffing, and tournaments decide how many cash games are open. Treat tables as “how big can this room be,” then ask the desk what is running.
02Stakes and hours
Cash stakes look empty on a page. Is the room closed?
Not necessarily. We only publish stake bands we can source. Empty stakes means “check live,” not “no poker.” Look at status and hours, then call the poker phone or read the operator page.
Hours say 24/7 but the desk looks dark.
Report a conflict to yourself as “verify now.” Published hours can lag renovations or temporary closures. The operator page and a phone call beat any static field — including ours.
03Next step
Where do I practice reading real listings?
Open the poker rooms below — open or series-host entries from our Las Vegas catalog. Compare status and table fields across two or three pages, then pick one desk to confirm tonight’s board.
