Las Vegas. The 1991–2020 NOAA normal at the Las Vegas airport is a 104.5°F July afternoon and 4.18 inches of rain a year. Atlantic City International’s July high is 86.6°F, with 45.96 inches of rain and 17.4 inches of snow. Those are airport gauges, summed from monthly normals.
Is the Las Vegas Strip inside the City of Las Vegas?
Not the part south of Sahara Avenue. Clark County says that avenue is the city boundary and that the county has jurisdiction over the Strip. Paradise CDP, the census place in that unincorporated area, had 191,238 residents in 2020 and $21.66 billion in 2022 accommodation and food sales. The City of Las Vegas itself was estimated at 679,817 people on 1 July 2025.
Should I pick Vegas or Atlantic City for a first US casino trip?
Vegas offers more resort variety and area types (Strip, Downtown, locals). Atlantic City fits a shorter shore weekend with nine hotels on one market hub. Open two cards on each coast if you are undecided — do not rely on influencer coast rankings.
