FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is this “most profitable casino” or profit?

No. Regulators publish gross gaming revenue, adjusted gaming revenue, casino win, or total revenue — money kept from play before operating costs. They do not publish operator profit by property on these reports.

What period do these numbers cover?

August 2026. Each table links to the regulator source archived for that month (checked 2026-10-12).

Why is Las Vegas not ranked here?

The Nevada Gaming Control Board publishes gaming win by area and revenue-range groups, not by individual casino in its public monthly revenue report. We do not reconstruct per-property GGR.

Why is Mississippi missing?

The Mississippi Gaming Commission publishes regional revenue totals. Its Property Data report lists units and square feet, not dollar win by casino.

Are tribal casinos included?

Tribal casinos are not ranked here until a state or compact publishes per-property figures we can cite (separate tribal layer — coming later).

Can I compare #1 across states?

No single US #1 on this page — metrics differ (casino win vs AGR vs total revenue) and online/mobile splits matter in some states. Use each state table with its labeled metric.
